At today's Japan Day 2019 in Düsseldorf, for the twelfth time our pyrotechnicians thrilled the audience with a spectacular closing fireworks in collaboration with the Japanese colleagues of the company Hokuriku Kako.
Under the motto "Voyage to Japan", a 25-minute world-class fireworks display with 1,538 bombs was launched from seven launch positions at 120 meters along the Rhine. The special effects specially made for this event in Japan and brought to Dusseldorf are unique. The handmade specialties with calibres up to 175 mm and a rise height of up to 220 meters are something very special and matchless in this form in Europe.
In the first scene, rhythm and music in Japanese festivals played a central role. The themes of manga and spiritual places have been taken up in the following sections. It also got very interesting in the 4th part of the work of art with the heading "Sushi Bar". The grand finale began with a huge rain of cherry blossoms and ended with the traditional giant gold rain (see photo) as the final highlight. Like every year, this artwork was broadcasted live on TV.
